NASA’s Open VSP Software

A statement from our previous trainee “Mihir Rode from University of Texas at Arlington, United States of America” shares his experience with WINGS OF AERO.
Mihir: I am pleased to announce that I have completed the three month internship with WINGS OF AERO from June 2021 to August 2021.
This was the second #internship I took up during the summer. It was indeed an interesting and insightful summer. This internship was based on aircraft design using #NASA‘s Open VSP Software. Through the internship, I learnt how to design wing structures, airfoils, fuselage, how to create normal stacks, pods, propellers, skinning and modifying components. Through these concepts, we also learnt how to design #cessna aircrafts, Commercial aircrafts, Helicopters and Fighter Aircrafts.
The most interesting part of the internship was how to design the Cessna aircrafts. I was quite fascinated by the way Cessna aircrafts are structured in real life, so designing them in this software made it much more interesting. I also used this as my project which was the Cessna 108 Caravan aircraft.
Under the guidance of Professor Rajanikanth, I was able to learn effectively and also understand the concepts well. I am sure that I will use these concepts at some point in my career. I hope to take part in future events and internships through this esteemed firm.
